We are thrilled to bring the legendary Bob Schneider to our Unplugged Concert Series!

Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter and former frontman of The Ugly Americans and The Scabs, Bob Schneider is one of the most-celebrated musicians in the live music capital. Combining diverse styles, Schneider’s music spans genres, blending elements of folk, rock, rap, funk, bluegrass, reggae and country with the more traditional singer/songwriter aesthetic. In short, FRUNK.
Schneider has won more than 59 Austin Music Awards including Best Album, Best Songwriter, Best Musician, and Best Male Vocals making him the most decorated artist in Austin’s storied music history.
Schneider’s fan base reaches far beyond the city limits of Austin. He started gaining national recognition with his major-label debut for Universal Records, Lonelyland. A fiercely-independent artist, Schneider opted to start his own label, Shockorama Records, which has afforded him the freedom to make the music his fans love, on his own terms.
Schneider’s live performances, both solo and with the band, are legendary. A two-time performer on his hometown’s famed Austin City Limits television show, he is also in the 20th year of his residency at The Saxon Pub. All told, he plays over a hundred shows a year and he doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.

Hi - I’m Casey McPherson. I have been making music all my life. I started with a piano when I was 5, and it was all downhill from there!! My first band was called Endochine, then I started Alpha Rev after that band broke up. The drummer broke my nose.. but I did hit him first... ah, rock bands in your 20s :) We’re still friends, and we all learned alot.
Alpha Rev has an amazing cast of band members that change periodically, and I keep it running by writing and recording music for it. I’ve played with some amazing artists over the years, had a couple of top 10 singles on the radio, a video featured on VH1, songs in a many movies and tv shows, and ultimately a very successful career. I’m so grateful for it!! But I really all owe it to you, the listener. The music believer.
I have also entered into the progressive music world in the most unlikely way. Mike Portnoy had an Endochine record from long ago, and recommended me as the last member, lead singer and guitar player for my prog band called "Flying Colors." We've released two records, with another on the way slotted for 2019. It's some of the most genre defying, generational crossing music I've every been apart of creating. Since Flying Colors, I've also stepped into a band called "The Sea Within" that I've been singing for in Europe, which is another amazing progressive experience.
In 2017, my daughter Rose was diagnosed with a rare disease with no cure. For the first time in my life, I was faced with a challenge of saving Rose or just living with the consequences. In a twist of fates, I quit everything I was doing, started To Cure A Rose Foundation, and now usually only play music if it's for a fundraiser for the foundation. I spend my time developing a drug for Rose, as well as other children with rare neurological genetic diseases.
